Community and charity

Giving something back

Here at NFP, an Aon company, we take pride in the fact that we are mindful of our impact on the wider community and those that call it home.

This year, we’re once again supporting a number of local initiatives and national organisations, such as Birmingham Dogs Home, Envision and Let’s Feed Brum, to demonstrate our commitment to making the world around us a better place.

Supporting local charities

As well as making NFP a great place to work for our colleagues, we want to ensure that we are making a difference in our local communities, too. That’s why we encourage all our people to make a commitment to local charities and community initiatives.

C.A.L.M (Campaign Against Living Miserably)

We’re delighted to have partnered with C.A.L.M as our chosen charity for 2024.

Through a whole host of fundraising activities, including sponsored walks, sweepstakes, bake sales, our people have managed to raise over £9,000 for them so far this year. We had one of our key fundraising milestones in June 2024, when 40 of our people at NFP set out to conquer Snowdon in the name of C.A.L.M. Not only did they all reach the summit, but combined they managed to raise over £5,000 in the process to support the amazing, lifesaving work C.A.L.M does.

What is Envision?

Envision is a charity that provides a practical learning experience to young people, enabling them to develop the skills they need to succeed in work and life. In return, the young people invest their time to develop projects which give back to the community.

A group of our people have been volunteering their time to Envision, which involves teaming up with a group of students to give them advice on confidence and public speaking, as well as help them decide what community project they wanted to be involved with. The students our people mentored went on to win the Spring 2023 Culture and Diversity presentation award at the Envision programme presentation evening, so it was a really rewarding experience for everyone involved.
